In times of pandemic, when there are still lots of exhibitions closed and you want to avoid crowds, this is an ideal open-air promenade for all art lovers out there. You will enjoy the medieval town of Estavayer-le-Lac at the same time of engaging in a sort of treasure hunt to unveil the urban art works of fifteen artists from very different worlds but resolutely oriented towards modern and contemporary art.
Fifteen works painted, sculpted, moulded or from other techniques are nestled in the four corners of Estavayer-le-Lac. They thus form a thematic route, an open-air gallery that is easy to walk and contrasts strongly with the historical setting of the medieval city
Temporary or permanent, the surprising masterpieces of national and international artists can be discovered all year round, on foot, by bicycle using a map provided by the Tourist Office or through guided tours.
Tip: In front of the parking in the heart of the medieval town, there’s an ice cream food truck selling absolutely amazing local ice creams!
