PIM-IT-UP: Second life & driftwood fancy furniture studio in Montreux

Mobilized by the desire to create with their hands and give a sense to their work, Noémie Storbeck and Marie-Laure Musy passed from passion to action opening their furniture and lamps atelier where they give new life to objects. The adventure started two and a half years ago in the Taulan Art Factory, located in Montreux, where they imagine and manufacture lighting fixtures and furniture from various materials such as pallet wood, driftwood or recovered objects.

The driftwood collected on the shores of Lake Geneva makes each piece unique, creations made of metal or wooden pallets are made-to-measure. They have a range of unique furniture and lamps pieces, which combine modern contemporary designed furniture with classic, traditional styles. The result is fresh, stylish, and functional.

One of their emblematic creations is a seat ordered by the MAG – Montreux Art Gallery to furnish the corridors of the exhibition in 2016. In 2016 and 2017 editions of MAG they showcased their work as part of the exhibitors: more than 50 independent international artists, some 40 international galleries, thematic exhibitions, a very complete artistic panel!

In addition of selling their creations, they create pieces upon request and rent furniture for events.

What do they love the most of living in Vaud?

The proximity to nature, lake and mountain, all those elements undoubtedly provide them with an inspirational environment for their creations.
